Introduction |
The FCC Amateur Radio License Exams are administered, by Three Volunteer Examiner (VE) groups, in the Prescott / Cottonwood area.
1.) Verde Valley Amateur Radio Association Volunteer Examiners (VEs) Testing Sessions Coordinated by Tim Henriksen KF7GCO and Cheryl Henriksen KF7GCN and Team This group can be reached by Phone: 928-204-6410, or via e-mail at E-MAIL VE Testing
2.) The Rimrock Group are independent Volunteer Examiners (VE), that administer the FCC Amateur Radio License Exams at the new Rimrock Fire Station in Rimrock, Arizona.
Driving directions to Rimrock Fire Station: Take the McGuireville exit (#293) off of
I-17. Go northeast towards McGuireville, driving about 1.5 miles to the new fire station located on the west side of the

What To Bring For VE Testing

Any of the license class exams you plan to take, you need to bring the following items with
you.
The Technician Class Exam:
1. Photo ID
2. $15.00 - Cash or Check
3. Social Security Number
4. 2- #2 pencils, scratch paper, calculator (if you wish to use one)
Taking or Upgrading to General Class or Amateur Extra Class:
1. Photo ID
2. $15.00 - Cash or Check
3. Social Security Number
4. Signed original of your current FCC license
6. Photocopy of your signed original current FCC license
7. Signed original of any valid CSCE's from prior testing sessions
8. Photocopy of any valid CSCE's from prior testing sessions
9. 2- #2 pencils, scratch paper, calculator (if you wish to use one)
Note: You may take multiple examinations at one session for $15.00. The license fee for
taking all three exams in one session is still only $15.00 total.

All class of license's will be tested at each session. Walk-ins allowed and welcome at all the above examination sessions, please contact the VE group leader of the session you are planning to attend if at all possible. This will allow the VE's to better plan for the number of applicants attending.
