2007
Stephen Butler
Stephen W. Butler, 68, resident
of Cottonwood, died Oct. 2, 2007. He was born in Beaver Dam, Wis., on May
4, 1939, to Roy and Genevieve Butler.
He was a graduate of Wayland Academy, following which he
attended and graduated with a BAS Degree from Marquet
University-Wisconsin.
Stephen then worked for the State of Wisconsin, Executive
Farm/Labor Bureau, and for the Bureau of Reclamation for the State of
Arizona. He was also a volunteer at the Cottonwood Public Library for 11
years, as well as a volunteer at the Clemenceau Museum.
Stephen also kept busy with the Hamm Radio Club; he loved
antique/classic cars, and was an avid reader.
He leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Sharon Butler of
Cottonwood; two sons, Stephen Butler with his wife, Julie of Madison, Wis., and
Mike with his wife, Stacey also of Madison, Wis.; his daughter, Julie Cline with
her husband, Tom from Madison, Wis. as well; a step-son, Steve Petrick with his
wife, Julie of Hunnington Beach, California; a step-daughter, Cindy Tillquist;
seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass is scheduled today, Oct. 5, at 10:30 a.m., at
the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; where Stephen was a
member.
